Monica Smith is a Denver-based harpist. She is available to play any type of event performing both classical and popular music. She also teaches harp lessons to students of all ages.
Monica is originally from Salt Lake City, Utah. Her college education led her to Colorado where she attended Colorado State University graduating in Food and Nutrition. She has settled in the Denver area where she lives with her husband and daughter.
At the age of 5, Monica began her musical studies on the piano. By the age of 12, she decided she would like to shift her musical studies to another instrument. It was at that time she began her studies of the harp under the instruction of Julie Gaisford Keyes. For the past 15 years she has been performing for live audiences including harp competitions and recitals, wedding ceremonies and receptions, cocktail hours, dinner parties and many other events in Utah and Colorado.
